2013 Wrap Up

I still have a pumpkin-shaped soap dispenser in my powder room.  To say the end of the year creeped up on me is an understatement.

Before we ring in the new year, I should document these last couple of weeks.  Before we hunkered down and basically lived out of our pajamas for the last 8 days, we did manage to enjoy a wonderful Christmas.

Christmas Eve with Bill's family.

Christmas Day

Other events that got us out of our pajamas this week include.....

Bowling!!

Not to brag or anything, but look at all those X's on the bottom
Ice Skating.....

So many happy faces there, and no broken bones which was an added bonus.

I gave a valiant effort with the skating, but I'm going to stick to bowling.

Another year has come and gone.  Without a doubt, our biggest blessing was the good outcome of Tommy's accident back in May.  Not a day goes by when we don't thank God he's still here with us.

In Gratitude
Thank you, Father, for having created us and given us to each other in the human family. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for friends, for health and for grace. May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us.

  2. Looks like y'all had a beautiful Christmas day! Ice Skating…hmmm…my sister insists on taking us while we visit her in KC. My kids have my athletic ability (el zippo). I'm petrified there will be a broken bone or two! Stopped over to read your post on your son's accident. Terrible. Frightening. Indeed a miracle that he was able to walk away. The same sister I'm going to be visiting, her 8 year old boy went through an intersection this past fall and was hit by a car. He had just minor injuries, praise God. My poor sister and the driver…they were in shock for a long time. May your New Year be filled with abundant blessings!

You were very brave to try the ice skating , I am thankful whenever I have suggested it, they all said no !
