I packed up my car and headed to upstate Pennsylvania. I am pretty sure I looked quite silly because I had a plastered smile on my face the entire ride up there. I was giddy with anticipation. We were lucky enough to stay at the vacation home of the boss of one of the girls.
As soon as we got there, the 24 hour food fest and catching up with each other began. We brought so much to eat that we didn't even need to go out to dinner.
We went to a 4pm mass and after that we settled in for the night. We started our own version of the Olympics....each of us being gold medalists for the sport of eating!
{cheese and crackers, salsa, tomato pie, quiche (2 kinds), buffalo chicken dip, carrots, celery, artichoke dip, feta cheese dip, twizzlers, twix, m & m's (2 kinds), kit-kats, heath bars, rice krispie treats, rasberry danish, cheese danish, cookies (2 kinds) apple danish, pretzels (2 kinds), watermelon, bagels w/cream cheese, poppyseed buns, zucchini bread.}
We stopped only to sit outside on the deck at sundown.
We woke up early Sunday and I don't know how, but they convinced me to go on a walk.
Then later, they convinced me to go horseback riding.
Marianne, Rose, and Tricia |
Peggy and Mary Alice decided to go on a kayak trip instead. I heard they had a wicked race on the water and had a great time. What a view they had too.
Tricia figured out how to use the timer on my camera and we were able to get a couple of shots of all six of us.
Thanks for an awesome time girls! I love you.
