Spring Catch-Up- Part 2

For Part 1 of my posts for catching up on all things Spring, click here.

Part 2 is all about young William.

Hold onto your hats, but Billy turned 16 last month.  Yes. You read that right.  16!!

Soccer is his sport of choice these days, hence this cake.

recipe here

Big stuff was in store for Billy this spring. He waited patiently for years and his parents finally let him get a smart phone.  I am completely against this hand-held Satanic device for teens but alas, we succumbed.

That same week, Villanova won the NCAA Championship.
To say he was happy is an understatement.  This is how he looked when he went to school the next day.

Billanova
Billy also got a job!!

Rita's Water Ice
He likes working there very much.

Along with all of that, he was my aide in our CCD class, played soccer for the township, continues to altar serve, serves on our parish Liturgy Committee, participates in the parish senior high youth group, and is an awesome role model and best pal to his younger brother Matthew.

Oh, and he was a referee for the elementary school's fundraiser with the Harlem Wizards.  So fun!

That's a wrap on our oldest!   Stay tuned for more Spring happenings.

    Happy 16th to your firstborn!!!
Having had the privilege of meeting him, I can say what a nice young man he is.
Can't wait to see what the future holds for him.
    And...a side note...my Peyton just turned 16 too. Just sayin'. ; )

  4. Good morning Kathleen,

WOW! Your oldest is 16! My youngest is 16. I miss those days when my children were little like yours. I love that photo of all of them together around Billy's cake. They all look so sweet :)

♫ Happy Birthday to Billy! ♫♪

  5. Happy 16th birthday to Billy!! Isn't it a crazy feeling? You all are doing such a great job raising him. And I liked the Billinova outfit ;)

"Satanic device for teens". Yup. That's exactly what my hubs says. My teens have their phones, but not data. I am slowly warming David up to letting our oldest have data now that she has officially entered her senior year. I'd rather have her experience this concept then when she is away at college. Quite frankly, I wish there wasn't such a device.

    Have a great week!
