Everyday Happenings

Happy Spring!  Even thought there is snow on the ground here, I feel warmer weather is just around the corner. Fingers crossed.

Backing up to February, we've had our usual and unusual happenings.

First up, our girl went to her first school dance.  She and a group of her girl friends met up with a group of the boy friends (not boyfriends) beforehand and had some chow.

In other news, Billy got his driver's permit.

GULP!

The kids and I were off for President's Day.  We went bowling.

And, not to brag (but really - to brag) check out "M" for Mom there.  A Turkey and a pretty darn good score, if I do say so myself.

Matthew just finished up his first season of basketball.

"Fun" for the whole family.

Mary, Tommy, and Ann were in the Parade of Shamrocks.  It was freezing, but fun.

That's Mary in the middle.

Thawing out on the ride home.

Tommy's Jazz Band has had competitions every Friday in March.

And last but not least....

Our girl Ann just celebrated a birthday.  It fell on the 3rd snow day we had last week, so she was happy there was no school that day.

Morning doughnuts
She asked for fondant icing for her present, so she worked hard making a cake and using some of the special utensils we got her.  The jury is still out as to whether or not we like fondant, but it sure did look pretty.

Another big deal is that she can sit in the front seat of the car now that she's 12.

Apparently this fact needed to be documented on my phone.

Happy Birthday Ann.  We love you!
