First Step To Peace

"Any country that accepts abortion, is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what it wants." Blessed Mother Teresa

  1. As Dad said, "We are really a country divided." Even within our own family, the moral choices are often so alien to traditional morality. It is mostly about personal pleasure. Sometimes there are really difficult decisions about abortion - such as in cases of rape, health, etc., but - in general - abortion situations could be avoided by individuals refraining from actions that cause grave consequences. Our country does not seem headed in a direction that will lead to developing citizens with the moral fibre to confront sacrifice when the need arises - as it always does. Citizens who support eliminating children, who are the consequences of their choices -where rape or medical emergency is not a factor - are not ones who one would suppose would generally do well when courage and sacrifice are needed for the general welfare.
So, I would have to agree with your quote - that such people might do any violence to get what they want, and, thus, our country has a serious problem.
