Confirmed!

Someone special made his Confirmation this week.

Introducing:  William Francis Sebastian

 

Saint Sebastian is the patron saint of athletes and soldiers.

 Aunt Mary Grace was Billy's sponsor.  Uncle Mike came along for the "ride."

For those not familiar with Confirmation, it is "the sacrament in which the Holy Spirit comes to us in a special way to join us more closely to Jesus and His Church and to seal and strengthen us as Christ's witnesses."

We had dinner and cake to celebrate back home.

We are so proud of you, Billy.
Congratulations.

    Hi Kathleen! What a joy to see your son Confirmed! And I love the red gown. I bet the church was a flood of red. I love that :) Great name too, you don't hear it very often.

    That cake looks so good. I am a buttercream frosting nut, so I'll take a piece with a big yellow rose on it! Is Mary Grace your sister?
    Thank you for sharing the this happy time with all of us my friend. Sacraments are such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate!

      Yes, Mary Grace is my sister. As for the cake, it's from Wegman's and I am right now debating whether I should have it for dessert after breakfast!

    Congrats , Billy ! Sounds as if it was a nice day for the family . Do they still make kids study all those questions ??

    And Please tell Mary Grace she looks so pretty ! She looks like she never gets older , like time skipped right over her !
