The day started with our traditional birthday doughnuts after breakfast.
Later in the day we had to shop for a new dishwasher. It took forever and the kids were great, so we treated them to these.

The finished product :
We watched Wreck-It Ralph and had fun foods for dinner.
Ann requested a cake with a vanilla top and chocolate bottom. Since I use a box mix, I had to figure out what to do with the other half of the batter....hence, the two cakes.
Happy Birthday Ann!!
We love you so much.
I was waiting for this post, Kathleen! What a wonderful day your sweet daughter had...I love how you all celebrate as a family. And I love how your older daughter made the birthday girl so happy with her cake.
ReplyDeleteHow did the dishwasher shopping go? We had to replace ours a few years ago, and it was only 5 years old at the time!
Oh, and I just noticed...I think we have the same kitchen countertop!
Have a nice week, friend. Are you getting the storm? My kids are hoping we have a snow day. I am too, especially since no one packed lunches tonight! : )
We got our kids Shamrock Shakes too! What a great day to have a bday...Happy Birthday Ann!
ReplyDeleteSuch special days and such good memories! My son's 20th birthday was yesterday. The dynamics have changed considerably since those childhood days and it's just not quite the same, as now we go to Texas Roadhouse and then he spends the rest of the day with his girlfriend! Hope you enjoyed every minute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Beautiful Annie! Every family needs some spice! xoxo
