Everyday Happenings

1.

Last week on February 2nd  I went to lunch with "the girls."  Read our history here.  It was 30 years to the day that we named ourselves the Sexy Six and vowed to stay friends forever in our freshman year of high school.

 #Bestfriendsever!
(or, in 80's lingo....Lulas! (love you like a sister))

2.
Two snow days and two delay days last week.
Pros and cons, people.  Pros and cons.

3.
Ann made her First Reconciliation!!

4.
Good stuff!
~Book study with friends.
~One of "The Six" driving an hour and a half to surprise me with a visit.
~Billy shoveling without being asked.
~Ann unloading the dishwasher without being asked.
(I think it was part of her penance-see #3)

5.
 Matt shaving.

  1. We all need a "happy place" :) Mine is a rocking chair near the fireplace in my living room. An especially good place on those snow days you mention! Great pictures!

Oops...I think Matt might have missed a couple whiskers in the chin area ;) Kids are great, aren't they?

    Have a great week, Kathleen!

  2. Congratulations to your daughter on the reception of this sacrament! What a beautiful moment for her and Jesus :) My son will make his sometime this winter.

How exciting to hook up with friends! And you are all aging so beautifully :)

The shaving picture cracks me up and your fireplace and "happy place" looks quite cozy! Enjoy it as much as you can.

Have a great week! (BTW, thanks for all the prayers. It's been quite an adjustment :)

  5. Hi Kathleen! Sounds like you had some wonderful days! First Reconciliation is always a big marker...and way to get that dishwasher unloaded too :)
I love that you are keeping up with your high school friends. It gets harder and harder to do with family and well...just life! But I bet you had a great time. (Still sexy too!)

Your idea of a happy place is mine too. Gotta work on getting a fireplace!
    Happy Tuesday,
    Ceil
