Dear Mr. Plumber,

Thank you very much for coming to our house today.  I know how busy you must be.  You see, when the floor near our dishwasher became warped, and our sink wouldn't drain properly, I knew I needed your help.

The $59 I spent to have you drive over here and ring my doorbell was money well spent.  I mean, when I think of the gas prices these days, it was well worth it. After that, I was only too happy to hear what you had to say and pay you 39 more dollars for your expert diagnosis.

I was amazed that you determined the problem in 30 seconds flat. You didn't even have to take one pipe apart.  How talented you are!  You sure are an expert in your field.

I was disappointed that I wasn't able to give you more of my money after you told me you couldn't fix dishwashers.  What a shame.  I was hoping to help you put your kids through college.

My New Purse

You mean you actually read that title and clicked to read more??  Wow!  That's love.  Or boredom.  One or the other.

I am one who truly believes a girl should get a new purse with every season.

I don't, mind you; but I still believe it.

I haven't treated myself in a couple of years and my last one was from Payless--half off--cost me $6 and I loved it.

A few weeks ago I was browsing and found this cutie.

Not sure how I expected to go from large to small, but cleaning out my old one seemed like a good place to start.

The pile on the right is trash!   Please tell me I'm not the only one.

It was hard, and my wallet takes up half of the inside, but it will work...

....at least until next season :)

Fluff Piece

I've decided to start something new here on the blog.  Sometimes I don't have much to write about.  However, my fans wait with bated breath to see what I've written.  (That was a joke.)  So I'm introducing my "Fluff Piece" posts.  In other words, if I have nothing to blog about I will write something with little or no significance at all.

This time I'm giving a tip about perfume.

Last year I thought I wanted to purchase a new perfume.  As you know, perfume can be very expensive.  I wasn't sure which one I wanted so I decided to ask for some samples.  This is just a "sample" of what they gave me at the department store.  I received about 3 of each brand.  Turns out I use perfume about once a month.  I am so glad I didn't spend a dime and now have a large variety to choose from.

Go out and get yourself some!
