This may just become an annual tradition.
Last year, the seven of us traveled to
New York City on Memorial Day weekend. It was so much fun we decided to do it again this year.
There was no Fleet Week celebration this time because of the sequester, but we headed to Fox and Friends Weekend and were on TV, (link below), went to mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and spent the afternoon in Central Park.
I will let the video and pictures tell you all about it.

Clayton Morris, Anna Kooiman, and Mike Jerrick |
You can find the segment
here and we can be seen in the background in the opening few seconds and then again near the end (around 2:33).
As soon as the show was over, we high-tailed it the few blocks to St. Patrick's Cathedral for mass. It was so crowded and under construction, so I didn't take any pictures there.
Then we walked about
a gazillion 20 blocks to Central Park!

Dinner in Hoboken |
After dinner we went to Liberty State Park. No pictures of Lady Liberty though. (no good view from where we were.)
There is a beautiful September 11, 2001 memorial there. Looking through it you can see the new World Trade Center being built.
I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend too!
