Last year, the seven of us traveled to New York City on Memorial Day weekend. It was so much fun we decided to do it again this year.
There was no Fleet Week celebration this time because of the sequester, but we headed to Fox and Friends Weekend and were on TV, (link below), went to mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and spent the afternoon in Central Park.
I will let the video and pictures tell you all about it.

You can find the segment here and we can be seen in the background in the opening few seconds and then again near the end (around 2:33).
As soon as the show was over, we high-tailed it the few blocks to St. Patrick's Cathedral for mass. It was so crowded and under construction, so I didn't take any pictures there.
Then we walked about

There is a beautiful September 11, 2001 memorial there. Looking through it you can see the new World Trade Center being built.
I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend too!
What a wonderful family day, Kathleen! And we love Fox and Friends...and I saw you all in the video! Thanks for posting it...and may I say...you looked awesome! Have a restful Tuesday, dear friend. Rainy up this way...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great day Kathi! I love the way your image can be seen in the Trade Center memorial. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love days like this. Great pictures!! The memorial looking at the new trade center is beautiful, but my favorite is the one of the kids w/the skyline in the background.
ReplyDeletehaha loved the video! That seems like something my dad would do - and I would have a similar reaction to Matthew's. Looks like such a fun day!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I have only been to New York two times and loved it each time.
